Preservation Recommendations

Each piece of Uultis furniture is carefully leveled and adjusted at the factory. If you notice any imbalance, ensure the item is placed on a level surface.

To preserve the longevity and beauty of your furniture:

  • Avoid jumping or placing excessive weight on armrests or backrests.
  • Do not overload furniture or use it as a ladder or support.
  • Always lift furniture when moving it—never drag.

For cleaning, never use solvents, alcohol, acetone, thinners, abrasives, detergents, or any products containing soda or acids, as these may damage finishes and fabrics.

Protect your furniture from exposure to the elements when not in use to extend its lifespan.

Be mindful of contact with sunscreen, body creams, repellents, and makeup, as they may cause staining.

Wood is a natural material, and as such, each piece of furniture will present unique variations in grain, tone, and texture. These subtle differences are part of its inherent beauty and authenticity. Over time, wood gracefully ages, evolving in appearance. Any color variation in new furniture will naturally even out when exposed to consistent environmental conditions.

Minor imperfections—such as hairline cracks or slight surface splits—are typical characteristics of wood. These features may shift depending on temperature and humidity levels, especially in particularly dry environments.

Genuine leather, another organic material, carries a distinct and natural scent that reflects its authenticity and is not considered a defect. No two hides are alike—variations in tone, grain, and natural markings such as folds, scars, stretch marks, or streaks are not flaws, but rather indications of its originality and handcrafted nature.

Fabric Care

To preserve the integrity and appearance of your upholstery, avoid prolonged contact with oily substances such as creams, lotions, or food products, which may cause staining.

For regular upkeep:

  • Acrylic fabrics: Clean weekly using a vacuum with a soft brush attachment or a soft-bristled brush to prevent dirt particles from embedding in the fibers.
  • 100% cotton fabrics: Gently clean with a soft sponge or damp cloth and mild soap to maintain softness and avoid buildup.
  • Printed fabrics: Minimize friction to preserve pigment and prevent fading.

Important care guidelines:

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or hard-bristle brushes.
  • Avoid chemical cleaning agents, especially alkaline or chlorinated products.
  • Always wash with water at room temperature and mild soap.
  • Never use steam irons or expose fabric to excessive heat (above 110°C) to prevent shrinkage or discoloration.

Leather Care

Maintain the elegance and longevity of your leather pieces with proper care:

  • Routine cleaning: Gently dust with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the natural finish.
  • For liquid spills (water, soda, milk, etc.): Blot immediately with a soft, absorbent cloth or paper towel. Wipe gently with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.
  • For greasy spills (oils, creams, chocolate, etc.): Absorb promptly with a cloth or paper towel. Clean using a damp cloth and neutral soap, gently rubbing the area. Let it dry naturally.

Important care notes:

  • Never use harsh solvents or chemical cleaning agents.
  • Avoid alcohol, acetone, or any aggressive substances, as they can damage the leather surface.

Wood Care

Preserve the natural beauty of your wood furniture with mindful care:

  • Routine cleaning: Use a dry or slightly damp soft cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid applying pressure that could scratch the surface.
  • Avoid treatments: Do not apply wax, polish, or any finishing products unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or sand the surface under any circumstances.

Natural wood may evolve in tone and character over time—these subtle changes are part of its charm.

Metal Care

To maintain the sleek finish of your metal furniture:

  • Routine cleaning: Gently dust with a dry, soft cloth.
  • For deeper cleaning: Use a damp cloth with a mild solution of water and neutral soap. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or materials, as they may damage the surface.

Glass & Mirror Care

For optimal care and to preserve clarity:

  • Routine cleaning: Use a soft cloth dampened with warm water to clean colorless or painted glass, and mirrors. Dry immediately with a soft cloth to avoid water spots.
  • Stain removal: For stains, gently clean with a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol or a specialized glass cleaner. Be cautious to avoid contact with other furniture parts.
  • Avoid using abrasive products, which can scratch and damage the surface.
